Going Ahead

This blog is going ahead just a bit, These events will happen the first week of October.

1. Standardized testing for the Freshies-Seniors so be prepared for the testing going on in advisory. The testing will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2011


2. There will be a parent meeting for all senior parents the meetin will be about FAFSA. So make sure to mark the calendar for Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 6:30pmThis reminder as well goes for the senior class we will be have the Big Sister/Little Sister Celebration.


3. This will happen on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 12:30-3:00pm. So seniors be prepared to dress the freshies like little babies!

What's going on this week?

• This week Academic Assistance starts on Tuesdays and Thursday from 3:15-4:30 so make sure yo are on time because if not you will receive a detention.


• On Wednesday there is NO SCHOOL- professional development day


• On Friday, September 23,2011 is the freshie retreat from 8am-3pm and all the freshies are out of uniform that day.

Off Topic!

The video that we just watched in computer class was focusing on how much things have changed so quickly. The things that have changed are computers, internet usage, and what those two are used for. Oh another thing that has changed is the jobs that we have now. The video gave the example of saying that about seven years ago we didn't have some of the jobs we do today. So like just imagine how different things will be like in another seven years. Will we have more jobs, higher speed of internet? Or will things be the very opposite. Will jobs decrease, will the speed of internet slow down ? This video really had me thinking of how things will be in a couple of years from now. The name of this video is called Did You Know?

What is this blog all about?

This blog is going to be letting all the Tepeyac girls what is the latest news of the school. It will give the dates of upcoming dates, events, and reminders for the students to remember that might be important for you. This will also be way for you to check if anything important is going on that you may have forgotten.

Events:
September 15, 2011- In your daughters gym shoes: this is a chance for your parents to see how it is being in your shoes by going to every class of yours. This starts at 7pm.
REMINDER FOR SENIORS:
Sign up for the ACT your deadline for that is September 16,2011. The test date for that is October 22,2011.
